With more than 20 years experience in the building design & town planning application field, Director & Senior Designer Dale Walton & his creative team of drafts-people at Design Equilibrium have assisted hundreds of clients in maximizing the potential of their property &/or property investments through site responsive building design & the drafting of quality architectural plans in the residential sector.
Design Equilibrium Pty Ltd is a small dynamic building design company situated in the Melbourne eastern suburb of Blackburn North focused on individual design & management of all required information & permits (planning & building) up to the commencement of construction on all residential projects.
About the Opportunity
Design Equilibrium has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Architectural Draftsperson to join their team at their Blackburn North offices.
In this pivotal role, you will contribute to a range of residential projects, including producing AutoCAD documentation for town planning applications and construction drawings for building permit applications regarding both medium density unit developments and larger new homes.
More specifically you will:
- Liaise with external consultants, council staff and internal staff members throughout the drafting process; and
- Maintain/improve current CAD drawing file templates.
This is a fast-paced and challenging role that will see you managing high-end projects. As such, you'll be required to hit the ground running and deliver exceptional work every time!
For your hard work and dedication, you will receive an attractive remuneration package circa $75,000 - $80,000 based on experience and skills. In addition to this, you will be working for an organisation that truly values a good work/life balance.
About You
Are you technical, mathematical, methodical, analytical, organised with a high attention to detail? If so read on!
The ideal person for this role will have all of this above, as well as an extensive understanding of Victoria's planning system and a genuine enjoyment of working in the residential field. You will also require a solid grasp of AutoCAD and skills in Revit will be held in high regard.
As you'll be liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion, it's important you be skilled at communicating clearly and working collaboratively with others. You'll also have well-developed problem solving and negotiation capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
Your track history in the industry will demonstrate your commitment to the timely completion of projects and the ability to manage competing priorities to ensure client satisfaction on every project. Well presented at all times, you will represent the organisation with the high level of professionalism that has come to be expected of Design Equilibrium.
