Wallers Industrial Hardware now has a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working Sales Support Officer to join the team in Toowoomba, on a full-time basis. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7.45am-4.45pm with no weekend work required.

As a Sales Support Officer with Wallers Industrial Hardware, you will handle customer enquiries both over the phone and in-store promoting the company's products and services. You will deliver technical advice and solutions that exceed client expectations and provide exceptional client service that strengthens long-term customer loyalty and ensures repeat business.

Specifically, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Greeting and serving customers promptly both in shop and on the phone;
  • Driving to customer sites to deliver products (in work ute);
  • Unloading and unpacking warehouse deliveries (1-3 times per week);
  • Processing phone and sales representative orders;
  • Processing picking slips into invoices and;
  • Cleaning and maintaining a fully stocked trade area as required.

To be successful in this position you must have a mechanical/technical aptitude and a genuine desire to work in a customer facing role. Ideally, you would have previous experience as a fitter and turner or machinist, however, this is not mandatory, providing you have a mechanical background and the ability to talk confidently to customers about Wallers' products. 

Previous sales experience, particularly in an industrial environment would be great, however, what's more important will be your willingness and ability to learn about all of Wallers' products. You will also need to have clear written and verbal communication skills, be a good team player and be able to use your own initiative to add value to the business. 

This role would be well suited to someone from a trades or industrial background looking for an opportunity to utilise their skills, experience and knowledge in a new and interesting way.  

Please Note: To be eligible for this role, you must be capable of lifting heavy items (e.g. 20kg cartons). A current, open driver's license and a clean driving record is also a must.
