Ready for an Accounting job with a difference?
To cater for an increasing client base and expansion of services, NetEngine is on the lookout for an energetic, personable, Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. Your time will be split between the NetEngine office in Fortitude Valley and the Employment Office head office in Milton.
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for the processing, reporting and financial control for three IT business (NetEngine, Outfit and Trigger). This includes providing financial support to the various business units by assisting with preparation of financial reports, management reporting, monthly commission calculations and taking the lead role in AP, AR and reconciliations for the area.
As you will be working directly with the business leaders and will be partaking in monthly business meetings, your financial support will be a key contributor to the business unit's success and growth.
Using modern, cloud-based software including, Trigger, Salesforce and Xero, your day to day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to), all end-to-end accounting processes.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Accounting and have previous experience in either a commercial accounting or public practice role. Ideally, you will also have a CA/CPA and experience in Xero and/or Salesforce, however this is not mandatory.
It goes without saying that you will be a whizz with Excel; have high attention to detail and top notch time management skills; and be able to understand key business drivers and work with business leaders and staff to achieve goals.
Most importantly we are looking for someone who is a good cultural fit for our business. Obviously you will be great at what you do, but you will also be fun, high-energy, passionate, great with people (ie communicating face-to-face), and be genuinely excited about the opportunity to work within a tech start-up environment.
