About the Opportunity

Macfarlane Generators now has a rarely available opportunity for a Hire Coordinator to join their Branch Hire Department based in Clayton South.

You will be primarily responsible for managing and operating the Hire Desk as efficiently as possible in order to promote and develop the company's overall sales and service business. You will be the primary point of contact for incoming customer enquiries in the Hire Department both face-to-face and over the phone, answering enquiries and providing quotes as quickly as possible to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.

More specifically, your duties will include:

  • Generating all Hire Quotations, ensuring they are numbered and filed correctly and easily accessible for future reference;
  • Answering customer enquiries regarding power generator and electrical control and accessories equipment associated with the industry;
  • Recording any defects or issues with hire equipment on return from hire, including advising service staff of the problem;
  • Ensure all paper work is completed and submitted correctly; and
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the Hire Reception Room/Counter and surrounding area.

What MacFarlane needs from you

  • An Electrical or Mechanical Trades background and/or previous hire company experience;
  • Good computer skills in order to do quotations, costings, bookings etc;
  • Customer service experience, good communication skills and a willingness to assist customers, workshop and service staff; and
  • Common sense, self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously.

Preferably, Macfarlane Generators is looking for a mature individual who resides a reasonable distance from the Clayton South branch.
