Your new career

J.A. Liddle is now on the lookout for recent Surveying Graduates to join their team based in Brisbane, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working alongside the company Director, you'll be responsible for carrying out surveying tasks in a professional and diligent manner. This role is filled with diversity as you will be truly observing an end-to-end process for each project you are assigned to.

Some of your day to day tasks will include:

  • Instructing and supervising surveying assistants;
  • Communicating and reporting to surveying supervisors;
  • Performing calculations, and using 12d civil design and CAD software to draft survey plans;
  • Caring for and maintaining all survey gear and equipment in good working order; and
  • Carrying out manual tasks that may be required as part of survey works or around the office.

What we need from you

To apply for this role you must hold a four-year tertiary degree in Surveying, recognised by the Surveyors Board of Queensland. As this is a graduate role, you are not required to have previous surveying experience. You will, however, be willing to learn from experienced professionals, and have a strong desire to build a successful career within the industry - if you're looking for just any job, this isn't the role for you!

Not one to back down from a challenge, you'll thrive on the variety this role provides, offering you development as both a cadastral and engineering surveyor. If you possess analytical skills, the ability to develop and write reports, an advanced computer literacy and a capacity to achieve time-dependent outcomes you will thrive in this role.

As you'll be working as part of a small team, it's important you have the ability to work collaboratively with others and hold the capacity to embrace change and innovation. Importantly, you'll be an "out of the box" thinker with the ability to problem-solve and work autonomously.

Please Note: A 'C' class manual drivers license and a QLD general safety induction card are both requirements for this role.

What's in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from seasoned industry professionals - J.A. Liddle is willing to provide you with full training and ongoing support necessary for you to build a successful and well-rounded career, as long as you're willing to engage with your mentors and play a key role in the progression of your own professional development.

If you're looking to progress to the level of registration as a surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland, and eventually achieve engineering and cadastral endorsements, this is the company for you! In return for your hard work and dedication, you'll be provided with an attractive remuneration structure.

You'll also be welcomed into a tight-knit team who enjoy regular open forums, consisting of after work drinks in a relaxed environment, allowing team members to voice opinions and support each other through challenges.
