About the Opportunity

Arris Projects is now on the lookout for an experienced Drafter - Commercial Joinery to join their team in Tingalpa, Brisbane on a full-time basis.

In this varied position, you'll be primarily responsible for converting architectural drawings into detailed shop drawings. 

More specifically, some of your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Ordering all materials necessary to complete the job at hand;
  • Performing site measurement;
  • Producting cutting lists for production; and
  • Liaising with the Factory Team to ensure smooth project handover.

This is a fast-paced and challenging role that will see you managing high-end jobs. As such, you'll be required to hit the ground running and deliver exceptional work every time! 

On offer is an attractive salary circa $60,000 - $70,000 plus super!

About You

If you have experience in the use of the following programs, Arris Projects wants to hear from you!

  • Cabinet Vision
  • Pytha
  • Microvellum
  • CAD

Additionally, you'll have the ability to understand and apply (from a commercial perspective) joinery construction processes, as well as experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings in order to produce detailed shop drawings. 

As you'll be liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion, it's important you be skilled at communicating clearly and working collaboratively with others. You'll also have well developed problem solving and negotiation capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
