About your new role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Site Supervisor to commence work with an award winning Ipswich based construction firm that has multiple projects within South East Queensland. Supporting a regular client base, you will find yourself travelling broadly across the state and operating in the commercial, municipal and industrial sectors.
Reporting into the Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the project is running to schedule and budget, by controlling the work of direct labour, including tradesmen, subcontractors and suppliers.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role you will have excellent time management and organisational skills, a commitment to quality and a real eye for detail. Additionally, your previous management experience will help you in coaching and mentoring your team of tradesmen to ensure the quality of work is consistently up to company standards. Most of all, you will be the type of supervisor who leads from the front and is not afraid to get their hands dirty.
To be considered you must demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years extensive experience across both commercial and industrial construction;
- A current Building Supervisors licence;
- Excellent communication, trade and client relation skills;
- An ability to problem solve and take initiative on site;
- Professional presentation;
- Self-driven, motivated and enthusiastic towards your work;
- Quality focus with attention to detail;
- Trade background will be favourable; and
- Able to work under pressure with excellent organisation.
