Macfarlane Generators now has an opportunity for an Electrical Field Service Tradesperson to join their team, based in Seven Hills, NSW.

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will perform all field service work safely and efficiently, whilst following all company and customer works procedures and policies that may be applicable. Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Preparing appropriate paper work, such as time sheets, job sheets, check sheets and load test sheets, in an accurate manner;
  • Maintaining a good Personal Tool Kit with necessary Electrical Meters;
  • Keeping the company Field Service vehicle and any company tools in good order and well maintained; and
  • Informing the Field Service Manager as necessary on any item or issue requiring attention.

Whilst the majority of your work will be north and west of the Sydney CBD area, you will also be required to travel to other NSW country regions to perform periodical service work.

What we need from you

  • A current A grade Electrical Workers Licence or similar;
  • Power generation electrical experience and at least a basic understanding of Electrical Control Systems, power test and power proving;
  • A mechanical aptitude in order to provide basic service to the engines that power this equipment;
  • Customer service experience and the willingness to assist customers effectively and efficiently; and
  • Common sense, self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously;

In addition to your technical know-how, you'll be well presented with excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a cheerful and cooperative manner. You'll be computer literate allowing you to maintain accurate paperwork.

Given you will be spending some of your time on the road, you will need to be flexible and able to manage differing priorities.  A current manual driver's licence is essential for this role.
