About the Opportunity
Due to business expansion in Australia, our client now has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and reliable Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join their team based in Northern Sydney.
Reporting to the business owner, you will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the warehouse and warehouse processes, including office administration and ensuring all inventory is dispatched on time.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing stock levels and organising storage of stock in the warehouse to ensure timely delivery of customer orders;
- Negotiating and monitoring delivery contracts with transport suppliers for quality, cost and efficiency;
- Assisting sales staff and distributors with technical questions regarding stock;
- Ensuring building and warehouse machinery are in safe working order; and
- Ensuring warehouse operations are in compliance with WHS requirements.
To be successful you will have previous warehouse and/or distribution experience, with strong attention to detail and computer literacy skills. Previous management experience will be highly regarded, however this would also be a great opportunity for someone with leadership aptitude looking to take the next step up in their career.
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is a critical role in the business and as such our client is looking for someone who is customer service focussed that can confidently talk to clients and deal with issues as they arise and support other parts of the business as required. You will be organised, keep the warehouse clean and tidy and take ownership and accountability over warehouse operations.
Please note: As you will be working with bulky, heavy items in the warehouse on a daily basis, a certain level of physical fitness and a current forklift license is a requirement of this position.
