How about a kick-ass job ad? One that drew you in, gave you the information you needed to help you decide whether or not to apply, and was crystal-clear in terms of who would (and wouldn't) be the right person for the job. One that was exciting! Maybe the ad you're reading right now is one of those. *wink wink*
Based in Milton, and reporting to the Recruitment Advertising Team Leader, this job is about coordinating those kinds of recruitment advertising campaigns; from taking client briefs and writing the ads, to creating and executing strategies to get your ads in front of the right people.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Attending "job analysis" calls as a Specialist with clients and our EO Account Managers. This is how you'll get all the information you need to nail a client brief with exceptional copywriting and ad strategy.
- Writing job ads for a range of clients. Similar to what you're reading here. You'll write ads for every role under the sun, from Sales Reps to Civil Engineers to CEOs.
- Developing advertising strategies. One of our salespeople will say "where do you think we should advertise to attract Community Support Workers for Bendigo, with a $3,500 budget?" and you'll be responsible for putting together a strategy that is going to nail the brief.
- Posting your ads across varying mediums. They need to be accurate. They need to be posted in the right categories and locations. There is no room for error here. Repeat - steel trap! You also need common sense and a bit of foresight.
- Pitching to a client (along with our EO Account Managers) on an advertising strategy you have created to position their role (phone based); and
- Assisting in answering phone calls from candidates and clients, as required.
What you need to succeed.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience in recruitment, HR or similar field and previous experience working in a client facing, corporate environment. However, candidates who have recently completed studies in recruitment, HR or similar field and have a particular interest in talent acquisition and candidate attraction are also welcome to apply!
Here are some qualities that make up a person who's going to succeed in this role:
- The ability to take a client brief. You know how to ask the right questions to get the information you need, and how to pick out the important details from a conversation with a client. This is REALLY important!
- The ability to write articulate, exciting and well-positioned content to attract the right people to the positions you are advertising. This includes having excellent grammar and a bit of a way with words.
- An understanding of and/or interest in advertising strategies. Ideally, this will mean some recruitment industry experience, an interest in social media and an intuitive knowledge of how, when and where to place advertising to catch the eye of relevant candidates.
- Excellent time management skills and an impeccable attention to detail. To put it plainly, mistakes just can't happen in this role. It is a very fast-paced environment that requires the ability to self-manage and self-audit. It is entirely possible to do this work without making mistakes if a high level of attention to detail comes naturally to you.
This is NOT a cold calling sales role, rather you will be using you recruitment skills to attract the perfect candidates for our clients.

An attractive remuneration package circa $55,000-$65,000 OTE is on offer, comprising of a base salary, based on skills and experiences, as well as performance-based incentives.
