About the Opportunity

Samuel Smith & Son now has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Brisbane, working from the Oxley branch.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, in this full-time, permanent role you will be responsible for ensuring all logistical activities are undertaken as effectively and efficiently as possible, within strict time frames. This will include (but not be limited to):

  • Dispatching of orders;
  • Monitoring pallet movements;
  • Aiding in running continuous improvement programs;
  • Ordering and maintaining stock levels;
  • Helping to drive a culture of safety within the organisation; 
  • Stocktaking duties; and
  • Providing logistics customer service - liaising with both internal & external enquiries.

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, working within a warehouse and/or logistics environment and experience working with an ERP system such as E1. You'll have experience with pallet and/or stock reconciliation.  A current forklift license, would be highly regarded, but is not mandatory.

Samuel Smith & Son is looking for a loyal and enthusiastic self-starter who has excellent attention to detail and is able to work unsupervised. This, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, will ensure you are able to work effectively with all employees and other stakeholders, whilst delivering great customer service. 

This role would be well suited to someone who can work to quick turnaround times and will get a sense of fulfillment leaving work everyday with all orders shipped and the shipping bar empty.
