About the Opportunity
VERTIMAX has a fantastic opportunity for four competent Boilermakers to join their dynamic team to assist with the major roof upgrade on one of Melbourne's iconic moving roofs. This exciting project will run over the next two years and will require the successful candidates to be available for this period in time.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be working on the roof mechanical works involved in upgrading the roof operating system.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in industrial boiler making and will be responsible for:
- Assembling, fabricating and welding;
- Carrying out other metal fabrication related duties (i.e. grinding, sawing, guillotining, etc.);
- Ensuring all work is performed under strict OH&S standards;
- Ensuring a high standard of quality and consistency; and
- Working at heights when required via EWP.
You will also have a trade qualification in boiler making or equivalent, Working Safely at Heights Certification, OHS Construction Induction Card, and EWP Licence. You will also be certified to work to various weld procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team will be pivotal to your success in this role.
