About the Opportunity

Negociants International has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join their organisation in Angaston, South Australia on a full-time basis.

This highly varied role will see you taking responsibility for the continued growth and profitability of the travel retail sector, the Pacific Islands and other emerging markets, including Fiji. You will manage an existing client portfolio and grow key accounts by leading and inspiring distributors.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Using your commercial acumen to drive area growth and profitability;
  • Educating and training sales staff, conducting consumer tastings, trade shows, and distributor meetings where necessary;
  • Carrying out brand and product promotion;
  • Working with national distributors to ensure best practice and maximisation of brand growth;
  • Developing distributor sales incentives programs, negotiating sales pricing and programming;
  • Working closely with the Sales and Brand Managers, Production and Global Demand Planning teams to ensure appropriate wines are submitted; and
  • Providing analysis and reporting on tender progress, success and failure to refine and improve company offers.

Negociants International is seeking applicants who ideally have sales or business development experience, a demonstrated track record of success and a passion for the wine industry. You will have experience working with wine, either through sales within the liquor or FMCG industries, or in the hospitality industry.

Relying on your commercial acumen and creative negotiation skills, you will understand how to identify and establish lasting relationships with key stakeholders within your territory. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will see you liaising with existing and potential clients, as well as current distribution staff in a professional and engaging manner. Additionally, you will leverage off your established local networks, relationships and understanding of the market as a launchpad into this specialised field.

An ambition to succeed will keep you motivated and driven, as you strive to cement the future of the brand throughout the travel retail sector and the Pacific region. Highly developed time management and organisational skills will ensure you thrive in this highly autonomous role, easily managing competing priorities to see deadlines are met. Strong computer literacy with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheets are also a requirement of this role.

Please Note: While this position is primarily based at the Angaston head office, some interstate and international travel will be required.
