About the Opportunity

St Hedwig Village now has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join their multidisciplinary team, based in Blacktown, NSW. This is a 12 month maternity leave contract, starting May 2017, with part-time, Monday-Friday hours (30 hours per week). 

This role is responsible for contributing to the provision of quality service to residents and team members through reception and administrative support.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Supporting senior staff members in administration tasks;
  • Acting as a first point of contact to residents / community members and performing reception duties;
  • Answering phone queries;
  • Managing incoming and outgoing communications including email, fax and post;
  • Undertaking basic administrative duties including filing, photocopying and data entry; and
  • Other general administrative / reception tasks as required.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and competency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Good typing speed and accuracy is essential.

St Hedwig Village is looking for a self-motivated and organised individual who consistently displays initiative in their work. You'll be able to provide a high level of customer service to both staff and residents, and demonstrate a commitment to Christian ideals and the organisation's mission / values.

Please Note: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal History Record Check which is a requirement for all people working in aged care.
