About the Opportunity

The Lutheran Church of Australia is looking to welcome an experienced Payroll/HR Administrator on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE/36 hours per week) in North Adelaide, SA.

Reporting to the Business Manager, this role requires you to oversee payroll operations for all employees throughout Australia. This requires the successful candidate to have a high-level of analytical problem-solving skills with a creative and flexible approach. You will also provide a high-level of support to the Human Resources team.

More specifically, your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Processing end-to-end payroll and associated services as required;
  • Managing record keeping and maintenance of databases;
  • Providing training and technical support to users of the system;
  • Providing management, performance and system reports on the HR system; and
  • Attending to clerical duties as directed by the Business Manager.

The Lutheran Church of Australia is seeking a vibrant individual with previous experience in a similar role. You will possess strong clerical skills and be capable of working with a high degree of accuracy. You will also have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships through the application of well-developed written and verbal communication skills. 

As the successful candidate will be responsible for the payroll for over 800 employees, it is paramount that a high-level of attention to detail is employed. The successful candidate will also have the proven ability to work to strict deadlines. 

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of NGA Preceda and Sharepoint or similar system.

Candidates with a Certificate IV in Human Resources or equivalent will also be highly regarded.

Please note: The successful candidate must have flexible working availability and be available to work every second Tuesday for payroll purposes.
