Civic Disability Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides services to individuals with intellectual disability and mental illness. They aim to create a society where people have the opportunity to reach their full potential, achieve their goals and participate as valued members of the community.

Civic staff provide Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) to enable individuals to reach their full potential, achieve their goals and participate in the community. Today, more than 500 people in Sydney and regional areas receive vital services from Civil Disability Services.

About the Opportunity

Civic Disability Services is expanding, with their scope ranging from the Blue Mountains, South West Sydney to Wollongong and extending to Nowra. They now have multiple opportunities for passionate and experienced Practice Leaders to join their organisation based in, and around, Caringbah, NSW on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership in ensuring the team is focused on delivery of Person Centred Active Support to clients in accordance with the Practice Framework. Practice Leaders will also be responsible for mentoring, coaching, guiding, and evaluating Team Members' professional growth and development.

You will also be required to coordinate all aspects of service delivery to ensure clients' human potential is realised. 

Your key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Conducting team reviews to ensure clients are receiving opportunities and engaging in meaningful activities and relationships;
  • Ensuring support workers receive thorough and appropriate induction;
  • Actively participating in and contributing to Practice Leader meetings, training and professional development; and
  • To display a client focused approach with the mission of promoting the right support at the right moment. 

To be successful in this position you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience in a previous role. You will also have previous financial and budgeting experience to manage the running of the house.
