About the Opportunity

United Group Australia has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in its brand new South Australian facility.

Reporting directly to a company Director, you will assist the Construction teams by providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to aid in key decision making.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparing timely monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations;
  • Preparing annual statutory accounts;
  • Comparing project costings vs budget analysis;
  • Preparing tax compliance requirements including BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and FBT;
  • Overseeing, reporting and monitoring the organisation's financial performance;
  • Controlling cash flow management process;
  • Supervising and monitoring staff within the finance team;
  • Managing the entire HR process, including interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and dealing with industrial relations;
  • Leading and managing the implementation of internal controls and process re-engineering; and
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate accounting advice and additional processing needs when required.

This is a hands-on role involving execution of daily finance operations. However, this is a unique opportunity in the sense that you'll also use your innovation, drive and knowledge to assist in business strategy and growth through the provision of financially sound advice.

About You

The successful candidate will be CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion of this qualification), with proficiency in MYOB and advanced knowledge of Excel. Although not essential, experience within the Construction industry is desirable due to the high-level engagement with clients.

United Group Australia is seeking a candidate with experience in preparing and analysing financial reports. You’ll have strong attention to detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, you’ll be skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the role, you'll need to be process-driven with the ability to follow instruction, while also being adaptable and intrinsically motivated to achieve results for the business.

About the Benefits

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration circa $75,000 - $90,000 plus super. In addition, you will be offered a range of great benefits, including:
