About the Opportunity
AWH now has multiple opportunities for experienced forklift drivers to work in their warehouses based in Somerton and Brooklyn, VIC. The successful applicants will be required to work either morning and afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday.
These positions are being offered on a 6-month contract basis.
Reporting to the Team Leader (Cotton), you will be responsible for:
- Unloading trucks;
- Putting product away;
- Scanning bales (off the forklift between waist and head height); and
- Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
The successful candidates will have:
- A current forklift licence;
- Experience with a front end loader;
- Experience with a hydrostatic forklift;
- Experience with clamps (desired); and
- Experience working with cotton (desired).
To be successful in this role you will be a team player with previous experience in a warehouse environment and have a good awareness of Workplace Health and Safety principles and practices.
Please note: AWH has a strict drug and alcohol policy that must be complied with. Pre-employment testing will be required along with random and blanket site testing when required.
For your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with an attractive hourly rate of $25.70 per hour, plus you will accrue pro rata annual and sick leave!
