About the Organisation
White Bay 6 Marine Park is a premier, family owned and operated business with over 30 years' experience servicing the needs of the Sydney boating public.
Located in the heart of Sydney Harbour, they are Sydney's only totally integrated marine precinct, offering a range of services including servicing, maintenance, fuel facilities and dry stack boat storage.
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly organised, energetic, results orientated Marine Service Manager to join the team on a full-time basis at White Bay 6 Marine Park.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the service yard at White Bay 6 Marine Park.
Some of your key duties include (but are not limited to):
- Directing day-to-day site operations including staff, workflows, job allocation, safety and compliance;
- Driving efficiency and quality within the service yard;
- Managing the training and development of all personnel required for the delivery of operational activities;
- Motivating and inspiring colleagues for positive outcome of business objectives; and
- Maximising the earnings potential of the service yard by meeting the expectations of new and existing customers and providing excellent customer service to all service clients.
This role would be well-suited to a result driven positive leader who will thrive on setting and meeting targets for production, whilst still having a strong and impeccable focus on customer service and managing client and organisational expectations.
To be considered for this role you will have proven boating and marine industry success in an operational capacity and the demonstrated ability to work within HS&E workplace procedures. You will also have project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, on time and on budget.
As this is a leadership role, proven leadership skills and the ability to quickly gain the respect of the team on the ground and provide direction and guidance, will be key to your success. You will be highly organised, with the ability to trouble shoot and solve problems in the yard as they arise and have good commercial acumen in order to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.
The majority of your clients will be high-net worth individuals, with high expectations on delivery, both for the accuracy and quality of the actual job being undertaken and the level of customer service you are providing. As such, clear, honest and confident communication skills are also a must.
