Books & Gifts Direct now has multiple, exciting opportunities for Franchisees and/or Distributors to join their growing family, with territories now available in various locations across Melbourne metropolitan and western suburbs. You will be given an agreed territory and support suburbs to assist you in building your business.

All territories are being offered on either a Franchisee or Distributor basis. As a Franchisee you will buy your territory. As a Distributor you will still be self-employed, but operating a business within a given territory, that is owned by the Books & Gifts Direct, Head Office. 

A Day in the Life of a Franchisee or Distributor

As a franchise owner, it’s your job to get sample boxes into as many workplaces as possible. 

This means you’ll be required to regularly visit a number of workplaces in an exclusive geographical area. A typical day would see you up bright and early and starting between 6-7am to organise your stock for the day. After loading everything into your van you would hit the road and start doing deliveries to clients within your territory. This would include going in to client premises, collecting orders and payments, filling orders, and then leaving your new set of products in an agreed spot (say the lunch room or reception) for the next fortnight.

On average you would visit between 30-35 customers per day 4-4.5 days per week, Monday to Friday. With a long-established client base, most organisations that you are visiting are either existing clients and/or ones that have been serviced previously. However, like any business opportunity - the more you put into it the higher the returns, so the people who have the best success in this job are the ones who are also focused on new business development within their territories.

What you need to succeed

There are no qualifications or types of experience required to be a Franchisee or Distributor with Books & Gifts Direct, however the people who have been most successful are those that are motivated, hardworking, driven and customer focused! A positive attitude, self-belief and determination to succeed will be the most important elements in determining your earning potential. In addition good account management, business development and cash management skills will put you in good stead for continued business growth.

The costs of becoming a Books & Gifts Direct franchisee vary from state to state and territory to territory, but it’s very affordable. All territories require a low start-up franchise fee, a van and a storage area. In addition, you don’t pay any ongoing royalty fees or management fees, and all stock is supplied on a consignment basis, meaning ongoing costs are very low. 

With no competitors in the market and a sound business model that has been in operation for over 20 years, your earning potential will depend on only 3 things - the demographics of your territory, your work ethic and your chosen customers. You’ll get all the necessary tools and guidance you need to build your business and maximise your earnings potential. You’ll determine your earnings!

As a guide Franchisees earn between $80-$120,000 gross with minimum guaranteed earnings between $850-$1,000 gross per week (subject to approval).
