About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has exciting opportunities for 2 x Maintenance Fitters to join their new facility in Bundaberg, QLD, on a full-time basis. Shifts will be 8 hours, 5 days per week with the possibility of increasing to 12 hour shifts in the future, when the plant becomes fully operational.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Fitters are primarily responsible for maintaining all plant and equipment for the efficient production of plasterboard in the facility, ensuring all work complies with safe work procedure standards.
To be successful in this position you will have the following:
- Relevant trade qualifications;
- Forklift license and experience with fixed cranes operation;
- PC literate with the ability to use maintenance software programs (ie Mex, Word/Excel);
- Demonstrated self-management;
- Demonstrated high level of planning and organisational skills;
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy;
- Enjoys a fast paced, results focused team environment;
- Positive and enthusiastic with a genuine ‘can do’ mentality;
- Open attitude to learning and positive criticism.
Knauf is looking for candidates who will be proactive in the maintenance of equipment and assist the production team as required, to meet and exceed targets. You will be flexible in your work style and have a commitment to workplace health and safety. Continuous production line and process control experience will be highly regarded, but is not mandatory.
