About the Opportunity
South Hedland Pharmacy now has an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacist to join their team full-time, based in South Hedland, WA. This role is being offered on a full-time basis, with a rotating weekend roster.
Reporting to the Managing Partners, you will be the most senior person on site on a daily basis, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all pharmacy operations, including providing leadership and guidance to Pharmacy Assistants and junior Pharmacists.
Your daily duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing dispensary inventory management and order processing;
- Embracing all 6CPA professional services, Med-checks, NDSS and Medicare Care packages;
- Maintaining and growing the Nursing Home and Community Webster services;
- Providing training for Pharmacy Assistants; and
- Providing professional patient counselling and care solutions.
To be successful in these positions you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration (Pharmacist);
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills;
- Previous experience working with Rowa or similar Automated Dispensing Systems; and
- A passion for Pharmacy and delivering retail health care needs to the community.
South Hedland Pharmacy is looking for candidates with a desire to build real relationships with customers and members of the community.
While not essential, candidates who have managerial experience and experience and/or desire living in a remote or regional community will be highly desirable. In addition, as this is a leadership role, previous leadership experience and/or an aptitude for managing people will be critical to your success. Knowledge of the Supply of PBS medicines to Indigenous populations, under the provisions of Section 100, would be helpful.
About the Benefits
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will enjoy an attractive hourly rate circa $55p/h, negotiable with experience, plus relocation and accommodation assistance if you are moving to the area.
The Managing Partners currently travel between the South Hedland store and a second Pharmacy based in Perth, however are looking for a Senior Pharmacist with the willingness and ability to take on more managerial responsibility for the South Hedland store and as such, this role offers great career progression opportunities for the right person.
