Ignite Travel Group currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Cruise Consultants to join the My Cruises team based at their Broadbeach office, on a full-time permanent contract basis.
As a Cruise Consultant it will be your responsibility to assist a range of customers, utilising your product and travel knowledge to book some of the most exciting travel itineraries across the world. You will be dealing primarily with incoming enquiries, so NO outbound sales calls! This is a fun, variety-packed role in which no two days are the same. Your travel knowledge and expertise will be pivotal to your success, along with your demonstrated ability to customise a Cruise package to suit the requirements of each customer.
There may also on occasion be the need to assist the My Holiday Centre team with further incoming enquiries to book 4 and 5 star holiday packages to destinations including Hawaii, Thailand, Fiji, Bali, Malaysia, USA, Queensland, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Samoa, and additional training will be provided for this.
Day-to-day, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Receiving and responding to inbound phone and email enquiries;
- Making calls to customers who have enquired on our online enquiry system;
- Discussing travel arrangements with customers;
- Providing a desirable option with associated costs;
- Checking Cruise and Airline availability, and booking these arrangements; and
- Receiving payment and managing the client's account.
Ignite Travel Group is looking for individuals with Cruise related experience, fantastic customer service skills and confidence in talking to clients on the phone. Suitable candidates will come from the Travel Industry and have detailed knowledge and understanding of air-fares.
Experience in using in-house systems and GDS will be required. In addition, knowledge and understanding of reservation/ travel booking systems including Amadeus and/or Sabre will be advantageous, however in-house training will be provided. Most importantly will be your attitude, your motivation and your drive to succeed!

The successful applicants will receive a highly attractive salary package comprising of a base salary and commission structure, with uncapped earning potential and expected OTE of $60,000 PLUS, there is a vast range of further benefits on offer including discounted travel and incentives, and the opportunity to travel on staff educationals!
This role is based on a rotating roster including weekend rotation.
