Lung Foundation Australia is a national, not-for-profit organisation based in Brisbane. Their vision is to ensure that lung health is a priority for all in Australia and to promote lung health by:

  • Educating the community in lung health and early detection of lung disease;
  • Reducing the burden of lung disease in the community through patient and carer support;
  • Influencing public policy, through advocacy across all levels of government; and
  • Raising funds for medical and scientific research.

The Lung Foundation Australia National Office employs about 21 professional/administrative staff, supported by a team of dedicated volunteers. 

About the Opportunity

Lung Foundation Australia has a fantastic opportunity for an Education and Training Manager to join their team in Milton, Brisbane. This role will be offered on 0.9 FTE basis (68.40 hours per fortnight).

Reporting to the General Manager (COPD National Program), you will primarily be responsible for coordinating the education and training schedule for the COPD National Program. You will also be responsible for managing the logistics of the training schedule and developing, reviewing and maintaining content training across multiple modalities, including face to face, online and webinar.

More specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Collaborating and providing support to appropriate clinical advisory groups;
  • Ensuring that training and education products integrate with the broader agenda of better lung health;
  • Producing high-quality presentations and education resources;
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to develop and organise education and training events;
  • Extending the reach of the LFA’s education and training program and responding to opportunities in this space; and
  • Supervising and supporting volunteers and project staff as required.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous demonstrated experience in project management, as well as knowledge of adult learning principles.

The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, as you will be liaising and networking with stakeholders, as well as experience facilitating and presenting of health topics.

Lung Foundation Australia are seeking an motivated and outgoing individual, as well as strong time management skills as you will be managing multiple projects concurrently.

While not essential, candidates with experience in a clinical background, knowledge of lung disease (specifically COPD), and experience with the Learning Management System, will be highly regarded.

Please note: You will be required to travel intrastate and interstate.
