About the Opportunity

Due to recent growth, Atlas-Apex Roofing Inc. is seeking a highly adaptable Office Coordinator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to join our team in Richmond, BC.

In this full-time role, you will report directly to our General Manager and be required to develop and maintain efficient and effective administrative policies and procedures to support the various departments within our company.

 Some key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing overall administrative assistance to the General Manager, Project Managers, and Superintendent
  • Supervising office activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity
  • Managing the reception desk by receiving incoming calls, screening, taking messages and forwarding calls to respective recipients
  • Handling correspondence, mail, and couriers including preparation of time sensitive bidding documents
  • Handling the employees’ payroll by collecting time cards, validating and preparing a summary for submission to the Accounting office
  • Matching invoices to backup documentation and obtaining managerial approval before sending to the Accounting Office for processing
  • Monitoring employee hours for possible changes in wage rates
  • Preparing ROE’s and T4s as needed
  • Reconciling and controlling petty cash reimbursements/reconciliations
  • Preparing bank deposits
  • Filing all relevant documents regularly and accurately to ensure job cost information is current and correct 
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned

In addition to being a great communicator, extremely organized, and a team player, you will ideally have 3 years of experience working in an office administrative or management role. Experience within the construction industry and/or a post-secondary qualification in business, management or accounting would be considered an asset. 

 In addition, you will have:

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience with Sage Accounting Software (asset)
  • Previous experience with accounting (asset) 
  • The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
