The Sir William Hudson Memorial Centre is a not-for-profit, 72-bed residence, providing residential aged care services to a broad range of clients. Founded over 30 years ago, Sir William Hudson Memorial Centre have long-since established themselves as a trusted aged care provider within the local Cooma community. Sir William Hudson Memorial Centre now has an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their Cooma team as a full-time Director of Nursing.
As the DON, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation running of the facility. Your over-arching focuses will centre on:
- Providing clinical leadership to staff with a strong focus on patient care;
- Providing a positive, professional and inclusive culture for all staff; and
- Continuous improvement and process changes to ensure the facility meets all quality and safety accreditation standards.
To be considered for this position you will have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Significant post graduate experience;
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership position;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of ACFI, Quality Compliance and Aged Care Standards;
- Quality Improvement and change management experience;
- Current Federal Police clearance (or the willingness to obtain); and
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Management / Aged Care / Marketing (desirable but not mandatory).
