About the Opportunity
The Community Services and Health Industry Training Board is seeking a Project Officer for their team in Carlton. The role will be full-time (38 hours per week) or pro-rata, dependent on the final Contract of Appointment.
In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking research and project work identified by the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking / participating in projects relating to vocational education and training in the community services and health industries;
- Promoting and marketing CS&HITB services and products;
- Providing general information and advice on VET, particularly in relation to Training Packages / National Training Framework;
- Preparing tender and funding submissions;
- Supporting an active communications strategy, including preparation of articles for the newsletter and website, plus website maintenance;
- Organising seminars, forums, consultations and other CS&HITB activities;
- Providing assistance and support of administration and database operations; and
- Other duties as required by the Executive Director.
To be successful in this role, you will require a high level of oral and written communication skills, along with proven skills in research and knowledge management.
The organisation is seeking a candidate with experience in securing funding for, and managing, various projects and preparing draft reports / briefing papers that communicate comprehensively and accurately.
You will require a sound understanding of vocational education and training issues (especially as they relate to the Community Service and Health Industries), plus the ability to use current information technology such as Pagemaker, FileMaker Pro and the Microsoft Office suite.
