About the Opportunity

Sydney City Marine now has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time HSEQ Manager to join their team in Rozelle Bay.

This pivotal managerial position will ensure that Sydney City Marine's documented Quality, Safety and Environmental objectives are met. 

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Overseeing and ensuring compliance of all staff with the company's documented Integrated Management System (IMS) which incorporates ISO9001:2016 (Quality), ISO14001:2015 (Environment) and AS/NZA 4801:2001 (Workplace Health & Safety) accreditations;
  • Establishing and maintaining the documented safe systems of work;
  • Organising and overseeing the maintenance scheduling and execution of all plant and equipment onsite;
  • Managing the record keeping of all plant and equipment maintenance onsite;
  • Implementing systems and improvements as part of the Management Team;
  • Undertaking internal and external audits as required;
  • Overseeing Accident and Incident procedures, including return to work co-ordination;
  • Conducting and documenting monthly meetings and workplace inspections; and
  • Training and enforcing the proper use of PPE on site in all work areas.

About You

Sydney City Marine is seeking candidates with tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, and demonstrated HSEQ experience (marine industry experience not required).

The ability to utilise your knowledge and skills to exercise appropriate judgement and discretion will be crucial in this role. A strong focus on potential business risks at all times, and an eye for continuous improvement, will also be essential.

Although not required, possession of any of the following will be highly regarded:

  • Qualifications in ISO practices
  • Boat License
  • Car License
