About the Opportunity
PW Trenchless Construction is currently seeking eager, fast learning, and positive Pipelayers to join our growing team in Lower Mainland, BC.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Pipelayer who has at least 2 years' pipelaying experience. Previous experience working for a civil contractor will be considered an asset.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Arriving to site with Hard Hat, High Vis Vest and Steel-toed Boots (PWT provides gloves, glasses, ear protection etc)
- Taking a lead role in daily activities working within the pipelaying team
- Installing new manholes
- Installing new sanitary, storm and water services using HDPE/Poly, Ductile and PVC pipe
- Working safely around live utilities
- Working safely in traffic work zones, and close to the public
- Setting trench cages safely and to specifications
- Securing the site for the night
- Working with power tools (Chainsaws, Drills, Impact drivers, Jumping Jacks, Plate Tampers, Chop Saws, Power Brooms)
- Working with Hand Tools (Levels, Shovels, Hammers etc)
- Working with and around heavy Machinery (Excavators, Dump Trucks, Rollers, Loaders etc)
To succeed in this role, you will possess a positive attitude, be hardworking, adaptable, have the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and have a working knowledge of English.
You will also possess a clean and valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites.
