About the Opportunity

Skeans Pneumatic and Automation Inc. have multiple opportunities for Inside Technical Sales Professionals to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. 

In this role, you will be responsible for fielding customer requests through various mediums including phone, e-mail, fax, in-person at the branch office and occasionally at the customer's site. You will also be providing customers with quotes and information, processing customer orders and communicating with the outside sales team so that everyone understands the opportunities for increased business.

Other duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Actively seeking out the best options for customers, keeping in mind their current needs such as application suitability, availability, and affordability.
  • Effectively processing customer orders, ensuring that the promises made in the quote process are realistic and that orders are scheduled appropriately.
  • Efficiently and accurately receiving local and international courier shipments by checking-in parts, cross-referencing purchase orders, and warehousing in proper locations.
  • Ensuring rush shipment products are shipped out to customers in a timely manner.
  • Shipping customer orders accurately and securely for transport to customer sites.
  • Properly filling out waybills and packing lists.
  • Assembling products for customer value-added projects and returning to inventory jobs (BOM’s)

This is the perfect opportunity for candidates with at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role. A Post-Secondary degree in Mechanical engineering and/or Business, Marketing or similar will be considered an asset. Please note that this role may involve some physical activity, therefore the ability to lift 50 lbs and to stand and sit for long periods of time is required for this role. 

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize orders and inquiries on an ongoing basis. With a strong customer service orientation, you will also possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as an ability to recognize what needs to be done to meet everybody’s expectations.

Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude, ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines, ability to use Microsoft Office programs, and a knowledge of fluid power, electricity and safe practices are an asset.
