About the Opportunity

Due to an unprecedented growth period, DePloy Management Solutions now has an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Management Plan Writer to join their Ringwood team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the development and design of traffic management documentation for a wide variety of projects and events including road and intersection layouts and road closures due to concerts, significant events, festivals and any other major event requiring road closures or major traffic operations.

More specifically your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Preparation of worksite and event risk assessments and traffic management plans;
  • Submission of applications to the relevant Road Authorities;
  • Coordinating and managing jobs from start to finish;
  • Conducting worksite and event site audits;
  • Liaising with clients, Councils and relevant Government departments on application progress as required; and
  • Implementation of plans at road work sites, significant events and locations including loading and unloading of traffic management signs and devices required for these activities.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in a similar role writing traffic management plans as well as having traffic implementation experience. However - candidates with a background in traffic control, traffic management or similar that don't have specific plan writing experience but have a well-developed understanding of site requirements and a high degree of computer literacy (including all Microsoft Office applications), are also encouraged to apply. 

Deploy has a reputation for developing the highest quality traffic management plans in the industry. As such, meticulous attention to detail in order to ensure the quality and accuracy of your plans will be critical to your success in this position. Any experience using the Adobe Suite and/or in creating or using graphics, will be highly regarded.

You will need to have a high-level of computer literacy, the ability to work autonomously using problem-solving skills in order to find solutions when you have a difficult plan that requires an in-depth understanding of relevant standards and codes of practice for the plan requirements. 

This position would be well-suited to someone with previous experience in traffic management, traffic control or similar, looking for a chance to get off the road and progress their career in a new and exciting direction. 

Please note: It is a requirement of this role that the successful applicant holds a valid manual driver's licence and has current Statements of Attainment for the units of competency required for the role. Further training in the high-level requirements of traffic management plan writing and use of the industry dedicated software will be provided.
