About the Opportunity
Skylight Financial Solutions is now seeking a full-time Marketing & Communications Officer to join their team in Brisbane.
As Skylight is a recently created brand, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your role from the ground up and really make it your own!
Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and co-ordinating a broad range of marketing collateral to deliver on department objectives, as well as assisting internal teams with their marketing and communications needs.
You'll be writing, developing and producing an array of material, from print and electronic newsletters, fact sheets, flyers, editorial and web content to award submissions, posters, display material and social media content. Liaison with designers, printers and other key stakeholders will also fall under your scope of duties, and you'll play a part in the delivery of PR campaigns, Annual Reports, and social media campaigns.
This really is the ideal role for someone on the path to becoming an expert in all things marketing and communications - no two days will be the same as you tackle a multitude of exciting challenges!
What You'll Need
Skylight is on the lookout for candidates with tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or another relevant discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years' post-graduate marketing and communications experience. This will ensure you have the fundamentals of marketing under your belt and will enable you to hit the ground running in this generalist role.
You'll be a natural at copywriting and proofreading (this can't be stressed enough!), with the ability to write clear and engaging content; you'll understand the nuances of writing copy for different mediums and target groups, and be able to develop relevant content based on this.
Importantly, you'll be professional in your demeanour and presentation, and will have a strong desire to develop a successful career in the marketing space. You'll be a proactive and motivated self-starter who is willing to learn from seasoned professionals, and not afraid to jump into any task at hand.
Additionally, as part of this position deals with internal stakeholders, it's important you be able to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels, and have a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Any experience with Google Analytics, digital marketing and/or social media strategy would be a bonus, however this is not essential for your success.
