About the Opportunity
The Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) is preparing to implement a new accounting system across the organisation and its subsidiaries. In order to support this change they now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the business on a full-time, contract basis for a period of up to 12 months.
Reporting to the Business Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the transfer of the LCA accounting system from an external third party, to the LCA Finance and Administration Department;
- Implementing changes to the chart of accounts, setting up MYOB and writing operational polices and procedures to reflect the changes;
- Assisting with updating subsidiary systems to reflect the new environment;
- Providing training and assistance to all users on the operations of the system and in the application of the supporting policies and procedures; and
- Assisting with the establishment and implementation of the Prophix reporting system and its interconnectivity with the MYOB accounting function.
To be considered for this position you will hold a minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting and advanced knowledge of MYOB and the Microsoft Office suite. You will have considerable experience in a senior accounts processing position, ideally with a chartered accounting background in which you have dealt with multiple accounts and/or subsidiaries.
As this is a project position, you will need to have excellent time management and organisational skills. Any experience in project management and working to set timelines and project deliverables will be highly regarded.
