About the Opportunity

Beaver Novello Moss has a rewarding opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team, based in Tuncurry, NSW. This role is being offered on a part-time or full-time basis to suit the requirements of the successful candidate.

Reporting directly to the Manager, you will be primarily responsible for preparing trial balances and tax returns and getting them to a stage near completion for review by the relevant partners. 

Your daily duties will include:

  • Preparation of individual, partnership and company tax returns;
  • Collation of client data (manual or electronic) in order to prepare tax returns;
  • Preparation of trial balances and client quarterly BAS and IAS; and
  • Using the Handisoft suite of software for the completion of tax and financial statements.

Beaver Novello Moss is seeking a thinker not a form filler!! You will have considerable experience working in a similar capacity in a public practice environment, with a solid understanding of the industry and a good working knowledge of associated software ie Handisoft (practice software), Xero, MYOB and Quicken (client software). 

Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded but are not required for this position. What's more important is an understanding of the tax industry and the ability to do tax returns for a variety of entities and industries.

You will have strong attention to detail, giving the Partners the confidence that you can get the job done with little direction. You will also be required to regularly interact with clients to obtain necessary information and as such you will be a personable, client-focused individual with good written and verbal communication skills and a team-player attitude.
