About the Opportunity

RotoMetrics now has an excellent opportunity for a Fitter & Turner to join their team in Broadmeadows, Melbourne. 

With excellent time management and organisational skills, you'll spend your days manufacturing and refurbishing a wide variety of products, whilst ensuring continuous improvement and maintaining a very high standard of quality.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • General machining;
  • Delivering quality service to meet or exceed customer expectations;
  • Loading and unloading of truck as required;
  • Completing all required documentation to ensure accuracy and delivery of exceptional products; and
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop, clean and test rooms, and equipment.

To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate III or higher in Fitting and Turning and an all round ability in turning, drilling, cylindrical grinding & CNC engraving. It is important that you feel confident in using both manual and CNC equipment and that you also have a proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings.

A forklift license will also be an advantage, however is not mandatory to your success. 

RotoMetrics are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who have the ability to multi-task and can show initiative and work hard to get the job done. You will show attention to detail in all that you do and be comfortable working in a team environment. 

Please note: It is a requirement of this position that you have the flexibility to work shifts between the hours of 6am and 6pm, as well as occasional weekend work and pre/post shift overtime. Candidates in their 3rd or 4th year of their apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.
