About the Opportunity

Ameri-can Logistics has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and results-driven Transportation Sales Executive to join our team in Abbotsford, BC.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new business to business accounts 
  • Generating revenue and meeting sales quotas 
  • Developing and qualifying leads to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and other lead generation opportunities 
  • Planning and conducting inside/outside sales and arrange meetings with clients, and follow up on commitments and issues that arise during sales activities
  • Securing appointments with key management to present current business conditions and future opportunities
  • Maintaining and updating account information including, but not limited to, names, address, key accounts, and contact information
  • Reporting weekly sales activities to Sales/Marketing Team Manager

The ideal candidate will have some previous transportation and/or logistics experience in a similar capacity. Previous freight forwarding and/or supply chain management experience and an existing customer base is a definite asset. Candidates with a strong sales background from other industries are still encouraged to apply. 

Above all, you must be an organized, driven professional with high attention to detail. You must be comfortable using Microsoft Office, and strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a high level of customer service orientation, are required. The ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running will be the key to your success in this role.
