About the Opportunity

The Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) now has a busy and varied opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join their Adelaide based team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be primarily responsible for implementing the LCA's accounting processes that comply with accounting policies and procedures, and achieve the objectives of providing reliable, timely and accurate financial information to all users of the system.

Your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to: 

  • Accurately processing all of the LCA's accounting transactions and entry into the subsidiary ledgers;
  • Processing receipts, payments and journal entries;
  • Completing monthly and annual reconciliations of all bank accounts;
  • Completing Return to Work, PAYG, BAS Fringe Benefit and other statutory returns; and
  • Implementing the end of month processes, including bank reconciliations, payroll monthly journals and rollover.

To be considered for this position you will hold a minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting and knowledge of MYOB and the Microsoft Office suite. You will have demonstrated experience in general office accounting processes, including everything from setting up transactions through to preparing draft financial statements for review. 

You will be a team player, with solid written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage competing tasks to prioritise and meet deadlines.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will enjoy an attractive remuneration package circa $50,000-$55,000 plus super, negotiable with skills and experience.
