About the Role
Sullair Australia (Sullair) now has a full-time opportunity for a Service Technician (Mechanical Qualified) to join their team based in Adelaide, SA.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair air compressors and associated equipment, both in-house and on-site.
Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing quality serving and repairs of air compressors and associated equipment;
- Diagnosing equipment faults;
- Ensuring appropriate inventory control management practices are adhered to in an accurate and efficient manner;
- Engaging with internal and external customers in a professional and prompt manner;
- Maintaining and initiating regular and professional communication with colleagues and managers;
- Ensuring that all documentation is accurate, completed and submitted in a professional and timely manner; and
- Working harmoniously with other team members to achieve service delivery excellence.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you hold a Mechanical Trade Qualification in one of the following disciplines – Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter / Turner, Electrical. As such, you will have a good mechanical aptitude and strong analytical skills.
A solid understanding of diagnostics will also be crucial to your success in the role.
Successful candidates will also need to be safety conscious, adhering to company procedures and safe working practices.
As you will be dealing with a number of clients on a daily basis, it is paramount that you conduct yourself in a professional nature. Good interpersonal and communication skills are key.
You will also be required to travel throughout various regions of South Australia on a rostered basis once a month.
Above all, you will thrive working in an autonomous position and be driven to achieve the best result for Sullair clients.
While not essential, candidates who hold an Electrical A or B License will be held in high regard. Candidates who have recently completed a Mechanical Trade Qualification are also encouraged to apply.
Please note: Candidates will need their own hand tools. You are also required to hold a current unencumbered driver's licence and be willing to undergo a criminal history and medical check provided by Sullair.
