TAMS now has a rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team in the role of Practice Manager. This is a full-time position, based in Tamworth, NSW.

Reporting directly to the TAMS CEO, the Practice Manager is primarily responsible for providing direction and management to a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of the medical practice, in order to achieve the highest standard of care and efficiency.

Your day-to-day accountabilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Overall management and administration of TAMS Practice operations across both the clinic and reception areas including leave management, performance management, education quality and safety;
  • In collaboration with the CEO, conduct regular Practice and staff meetings, promoting a collaborative working environment for all staff;
  • Overseeing and improving clinical services delivery and ensuring ongoing AGPAL accreditation compliance;
  • Expanding TAMS clinical services in accordance with service delivery gaps (MOICIDP), visiting specialists, allied health); and
  • Ensuring staff receive adequate supervision to ensure they work within their scope of practice skills and experience and in line with TAMS policies and procedures. 

What you need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you will be a tertiary qualified, Division 1 Registered Nurse with considerable post-graduate experience and demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge relevant to practice nursing. 

Importantly, you will have an awareness of, and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history as well as the current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people. Previous experience in providing health services to Aboriginal communities will be very highly regarded.

A proven leader, you will have the ability to problem solve effectively at the level of a manager and will lead by example to motivate and engage your team to provide service excellence. You will have well-developed organisational and time-management skills and be able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

Prior to commencement with TAMS the successful applicant must consent to a Police Background Check. Employment is conditional pending the outcome of these checks. 

An attractive remuneration package circa $120,000-$130,000 is on offer including super and salary sacrificing, negotiable with skills and experience. TAMS also actively support the ongoing training and professional development of all employees.
