SEDL Agencies (SEDL) is a leading supplier of Abrasives, Industrial, Safety and Packaging Products servicing the Queensland metro regions. As a family owned business they have been in operation for over 30 years, forming a number of industry relationships and expanding their product range. 

Now joined with AIDCO – a supplier of Abrasive and Industrial Supplies – SEDL Agencies is based in both Toowoomba and Brisbane, providing Abrasives, Industrial, Safety and Packaging Products. 

About the Opportunity

Due to significant growth of the Brisbane branch, SEDL Agencies now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Internal Sales Representative to join their team in Salisbury.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling SEDL Agencies' products and services, as well as delivering technical advice and solutions to clients.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Greeting and serving customers promptly and politely both in shop and on the phone;
  • Dealing with customer enquiries and orders in shop and on the phone and via the internet;
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with current customers and potential new clients;
  • Processing phone and sales representative orders;
  • Raising awareness of current promotions to customers;
  • Promoting and selling tools, accessories, abrasives and safety products;
  • Processing picking slips into invoices and supplier invoices with orders raised; and
  • Maintaining a fully stocked trade display area.

About You

SEDL Agencies is seeking candidates who have experience in a similar role within an industrial environment. Someone from a trades or industrial sales background would be well suited to this position, as this will ensure you possess technical knowledge and the ability to speak confidently about SEDL Agencies' products to customers.

Initial training will be provided, but from there, SEDL Agencies is looking for a confident individual to take the role and run with it. You'll be comfortable working independently and will be the type of person who owns their responsibilities.

The successful candidate will maintain a focus on customer service, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Time management, attention to detail and organisation skills will be essential, encompassing an ability to prioritise your workload and ensure effective record maintenance and management. Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is also required, and any knowledge of computer-based inventory systems and/or Sympac software will be an advantage.

Please Note: To be eligible for this role, you must be capable of lifting heavy items (e.g. 20-litre drums).
