About the Opportunity
Valiant currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Team Leader / Driver to join their Operations Team in Melbourne. The majority of working hours will be Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm, however occasional early morning and weekend shifts will be required.
This pivotal role will see you delivering furniture to hundreds of events around Melbourne, leading Delivery Teams (3 - 15 employees) in the set up of major events.
You'll be responsible for:
- Handling and carrying furniture;
- Performing installations;
- Overseeing team operations, ensuring optimal organisation;
- Identifying areas for efficiency improvement, and implementing cost and time saving processes; and
- Interacting with customers, assisting with any queries.
About You
Valiant is seeking someone who can identify areas of improvement to increase team effectiveness and efficiency. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be crucial.
Also key to your success will be the ability to develop rapport and trust with others. As such, the successful candidate will be confident and personable while interacting in a mature, professional manner with customers. Strong communication and problem solving skills will enable you to satisfy all client needs as they arise.
You will also demonstrate a strong work ethic and the willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done. A person who thrives in a team environment, while also possessing the capability of working independently, will be well suited to this role.
In addition to the above attributes, Valiant is after someone who has:
- MR or HR Truck License
- Experience in furniture handling / delivery
- Excellent personal presentation and professionalism
- Event industry experience (desirable)
Please Note: There will be heavy lifting in this position and you must be physically fit to meet this requirement.
