About the Opportunity
Ulladulla Endoscopy & Medical Centre now has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to join their team in Ulladulla, NSW. This role is being offered on a full-time basis, with regular Monday - Friday hours (no weekend or shift work!).
Reporting to the Centre Directors, this varied role will see you responsible for the management of the RN team who provide a range of health services to the community, from assisting with surgery to general practice.
Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing leadership to clinic staff and key stakeholders;
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care to all patients;
- Developing and implementing strategic roster practices, responsibility over budget requirements and cost management;
- Liaising with internal and external networks, and developing relationships with local stakeholders; and
- Ensuring governance and compliance regulations are exceeded and a high level of patient care is provided.
About You
This role will be well suited to either an experienced NUM, or an experienced RN who has experience in a healthcare service delivery environment and is looking to step up into an NUM role!
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Nursing, registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and will have demonstrated experience within the private day surgery sector. Knowledge of appropriate surgical procedures, infection control, pre-anaesthetic, and post op care and equipment will be required, as will a proven ability to manage budgets and staffing requirements.
Importantly, Ulladulla Endoscopy & Medical Centre is looking for enthusiastic individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll be passionate about day surgery and eager to engage with community members and staff alike.
Although not essential, a Certificate in GESA will be highly regarded.
