Humphris Nursery (Humphris), is a wholesale only nursery located on 10 hectares of land in Mooroolbark, at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.

Established in the 1850's, Humphris has been modernised, expanded and cared for by 5 generations of the Humphris family, making it one of the oldest continuously registered wholesale nurseries in Australia.

They supply a wide range of exotics, natives and grasses into quality retail nurseries and have expanded and developed to include not just high quality plants to the retail trade, but also to landscapers, councils, and advanced growers. Their extensive client list includes major retailers Bunnings and Big W.

Humphris Nursery now has an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Account Administrator to join their team based at Mooroolbark on a full-time basis. 

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be accountable for a portfolio of existing clients, as well as looking for opportunities to grow sales within a new client base. This is a hands on role that will see you managing and following orders from the customer through all areas of the production cycle, including communicating with internal departments to ensure stock is of the best quality and dispatched correctly and on time. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the sales team with all on-site customer enquiries, phone calls and emails;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for your customer base including managing complaints regarding sales; deliveries; stock enquiries etc;
  • Ensuring all sales enquiries, orders and requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner; and
  • Assisting in the development and circulation of a weekly stock list to distribute to client base.

You don't need any formal qualifications or industry experience, however any experience working in a B2B sales or business environment will be beneficial. As you will spend a lot of time liaising with customers on the phone, you must be an articulate and confident communicator with the ability and willingness to instigate telephone contact with key decision makers in order to close sales.

This role would be well-suited to someone who has 2-3 years experience in a B2B sales, customer service or account management role that is looking for a chance to learn and develop their career within an organisation in an exciting expansion phase.
