About the Opportunity
Sydney Map Electrical Pty Ltd is now seeking a full-time Project Manager to join their team. You'll be based in the Caringbah office, with travel to sites across Sydney as required.
Reporting to the Director, your main responsibility will be to manage the day to day activities of multiple projects, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing budgets and cost plans;
- Identifying, documenting and reporting site variations;
- Communicating and liaising with all key stakeholders, including builders, contractors, team members, suppliers and customers;
- Attending site meetings and providing feedback on site status;
- Managing and planning for site works in line with builder schedules;
- Undertaking measurements to define required materials and preparing a site materials list based on drawing and site assessment;
- Allocating staff to jobs, managing the roster and working with the Director to define forward plans for site staff;
- Undertaking site inspection for quality of works, with feedback to foreman on areas to be rectified or addressed;
- Resolving site disputes; and
- Preparing site SWMS as the need arises.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have an Electrical License and demonstrated experience as a Project Manager. Candidates will also need to have experience across both residential and commercial electrical works.
Sydney Map Electrical Pty Ltd is looking for a self-starter who 'gets things done' and has a thorough understanding - and mindfulness - of costs and budgeting. You'll be skilled in problem solving and keen to bring new, innovative ideas, systems and processes with you to the company.
Due to the fast-paced nature of this role, it's imperative you be able to manage competing priorities effectively under time constraints and do so with a calm and composed approach. You'll also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring your ability to liaise confidently and professionally with all key stakeholders.
In addition, the successful candidate will be competent in the use of computer programs. Although not essential, experience with SimPro will be highly regarded.
Please Note: A current Driver's License is a requirement of this role.
