Macfarlane Generators now has an opportunity for a Field Service Electrician (Electrical Tradesperson) to join their team, based in Clayton South, Victoria.
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will perform all field service work safely and efficiently, whilst following all company and customer works procedures and policies that may be applicable. This is a remote role where the majority of your days will be spent in contact with customers and working at their sites.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include:
- Preparing appropriate paperwork, such as time sheets, job sheets, check sheets and load test sheets, in an accurate manner;
- Maintaining a good Personal Tool Kit with necessary Electrical Meters;
- Checking, test running, servicing, load testing, power generating equipment;
- Keeping the company Field Service vehicle and any company tools in good order and well maintained; and
- Informing the Field Service Manager where necessary on any item or issue requiring attention.
To be successful you will need to have...
- Extensive experience working with and on Power generators or similar experience within an Industrial Electrical environment;
- A current A grade Electrical Workers Licence or similar; and
- A mechanical aptitude in order to provide basic service to the engines that power this equipment.
In addition to your technical know-how, you'll be well presented with excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver outstanding customer service. It is essential that you have competent computer skills to ensure all reports are completed accurately and efficiently.
Exceptional diagnostic and fault-finding abilities will be a distinct advantage to this position.
Given you will be spending the majority of your time on the road, you will need to be flexible and able to manage differing priorities. A current manual driver's licence is essential for this role.

You will receive an attractive hourly rate circa $38 - $40 (negotiable with skills and experience) plus super and paid overtime taking your potential for annual earnings to more than $80,000 - $90,000!
