About the role

 

La Porte now has a rare and exciting full-time opportunity for a Guest Services professional to join their dedicated team.

 As you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and clients, you will effectively be the face of La Porte. It is imperative in this position that you have a high level of professionalism, a gentle and welcoming nature, maturity, and exceptional personal presentation.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

- Answering all telephone calls and transferring to the appropriate person/office suite;
- Managing a busy reception/lobby area efficiently and effectively
- Assisting with all client requests (meeting room preparation, organising courier/s, handling mail, etc)
La Porte Space upkeep and general tidying
- Assisting the booking coordinator with the management of clients, site visits, and databases
- Accepting all incoming and outgoing mail and courier requests
- Management of building keys, coding of security swipe cards, welcome letters, etc

It's the little things



 To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in a client facing reception role, preferably within the boutique hotel industry, high-end retail, haute dining, or equivalent.

As La Porte deals with many high profile clients, it is essential that you respect the privacy and confidentiality of these clients. It is also paramount that every single visitor - from magazine editors to courier drivers and photographers - is welcomed warmly and treated equally.

Candidates must also have exceptional time-management and prioritisation skills. This role can become high volume very quickly. You will need to be quick on your feet without getting overwhelmed.  In the quieter times, you will need to adopt a proactive approach to your role and take the initiative to self-manage your workflow. 

In addition, you will be punctual, reliable, have excellent attention to detail, and sound computer skills (Microsoft Office, Apple products).

Most importantly, you will be a dedicated team player who thrives in stimulating and varied role.
