About the Opportunity
The Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) now has a rewarding opportunity for a Project Manager (Accreditation) to join their team. You will develop the capacity and manage the effective delivery of technical services projects aligned with JAS-ANZ's strategic direction.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in either the Canberra, ACT or Wellington, NZ office.
Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role has two key focuses:
- Establishing and managing scheme development and review projects, including managing Scheme Technical Committees and identifying opportunities to support relevant organisations to set up schemes; and
- Project managing the delivery of technical services and capacity building projects in the South Pacific and south-east Asian regions, in conjunction with relevant government or aid agencies.
Day-to-day, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Building capacity to support the delivery of capacity building projects focussing on South-East Asia;
- Managing technical services projects in accordance with contractual requirements and treaty objectives;
- Identifying opportunities to engage in regionally funded projects;
- Managing technical services support for the development, review and evaluation of schemes in line with contractual requirements;
- Effectively managing interface with key internal and external stakeholders;
- Promoting JAS-ANZ accreditation to prospective scheme owners, government regulators and industry stakeholders; and
- Developing and maintaining accreditation relationships with government regulators (federal/state/local) industry groups and associations.

About You
To be considered for this position you will be a proven Project Manager with demonstrated experience delivering public projects within a government agency, aid agency, or similar organisation. Any experience establishing regulatory schemes and/or developing regulatory standards, as well as knowledge of accreditation and/or certification will be very highly regarded.
You will have a solid understanding of evaluation techniques and their place in program development and revision and the demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders (both internal and external).
Importantly, you will be a self-starter who can work autonomously and drive projects professionally from start to successful completion.
Please Note: Travel to South-East Asia is a likely requirement of this position.
