About the Helicopter Engineer role

An exciting opportunity is now available for Helicopter Engineers to join the Mackay operations team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on EC135 aircraft.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Providing local oversight and management of day-to-day airworthiness matters;
  • Forecasting, planning and executing maintenance activities within contracted allowances;
  • Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Managing day-to-day aircraft and supporting role equipment to ensure a high serviceability rate.

To be successful, you will need the following:

  • Candidates must hold a CASA B 1.3 LAME licence;
  • Possess the Australian rating for the EC135, A109 and AS350 (Preferred);
  • Hold an Airframe licence (Required);
  • Hold and Engine licence categories applicable to the EC135, A109 and AS350 (Preferred - the organisation is willing to help candidates obtain this licence);
  • PW 206 and/or Arrius 2B engine experience desirable;
  • Experience is assisting and directing maintenance personnel; and
  • Be familiar with regulatory limits.

Candidates must also display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
