About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join our team in Rosedale, BC on a full-time basis.

This is a unique opportunity to use your HR skills and business acumen in a pivotal role that will have a real impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing all recruitment, training, and onboarding functions
  • Acting as a resource to management in regards to performance management and policies/procedures
  • Participating in the planning of HR programs and services, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards, controls and guidelines
  • Managing all staff personnel files
  • Managing payroll and benefits
  • Developing and executing training programs for community members
  • Supporting the Economic Development department
  • Ensuring all case law is managed effectively
  • Identifying gaps in policies and manuals, and rectifying these gaps
  • Contributing to planning in regards to relationship agreements
  • Identifying measures of success for future planning

About the Ideal Candidate

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. You must also have a valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle. Please note some occasional travel may be required.

You will also have previous experience working a cross-cultural environment and have exceptional time management and prioritization skills. Previous experience working with First Nations is a definite asset. 

Similarly, the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders while responding with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy is essential. Above all, you must be a self-motivated professional who shows initiative and can work independently.
