Our Surrey location includes an Iron and Steel Foundry as well as Manufacturing facilities with a range of equipment to fabricate and assemble products. About the Opportunity

Currently, Robar Industries Ltd. is seeking a motivated Journeyman Millwright to join the Maintenance team in Surrey, BC.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for fulfilling the maintenance requirements of the plant.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Reading blueprints and schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) to install machinery and equipment
  • Welding and fabricating (machine guards etc.)
  • Utilizing your good working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Operating overhead cranes as needed

To be successful in this role you must have an Interprovincial Millwright Trade Qualification with a sound base knowledge and experience in the maintenance of material handling systems. You will also be an independent self-starter, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, have a strong mechanical aptitude, be able to handle a fast-paced work environment and enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise.

Candidates with skills in welding, crane operation, and other related trades skills will find our work environment provides an opportunity to expand and refine your skills.

Please note that in this role will need to be able to work a flexible schedule (helping to cover Day, Afternoon or a Tuesday to Saturdays shift) and be available to work overtime as required.
